The Coral Restoration Consortium (CRC) is hiring TWO Regional Group Coordinators, one of which will coordinate the Pacific Islands Regional Group, of which Guam is a part. Regional Coordinators will help cultivate the practice of restoration within each region, weaving together coral restoration projects by various practitioners, supporting practitioners at all stages, and ensuring that the regions’ collective strengths are fully realized.
The Coordinators responsibilities are to assess regional needs, identify gaps, and work to bridge those gaps. Each Regional Group Coordinator will facilitate communication among practitioners, build a community of practice among coral reef stakeholders, curate knowledge exchanges, and provide practical support to a dynamic and expanding network of practitioners—ultimately strengthening the region’s impact and visibility within the global coral restoration community.
While the main priority of this role is facilitation and supporting the development of each Regional Group, we recognize that to best do this, the chosen candidates should have first- hand experience with multiple types of coral restoration interventions.
This is currently a one-year position with an option for renewal annually for ~3 years (depending on candidate performance and organizational funding). Position is expected to travel ~10 to 20% of the year, often long distances to remote locations.
