Wildlife Biologist (Biologist 1)

The Guam Department of Agriculture Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources Wildlife Section is hiring a wildlife biologist (Biologist I) to join their team.

Salary

OPEN: L-01; $45,262 P/A – L-10; $62,136 P/A

PROMOTION: L-01; $45,262 P/A – L-18; $79,775 P/A

Job description

  • Field work with Guam’s native birds and bats: Ko’ko’, Såli, Yayaguak, Pulattat, and Fanihi.

  • Monitoring species using trail cameras, radio telemetry, audio surveys, and nest monitoring.

  • Data analysis to estimate population size, reproductive rates, and territory size.

  • And more!

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a similar field

  • Background knowledge of Guam’s wildlife and ecosystems is preferred!

  • Ability to work outside for hours at a time.

  • A passion for wildlife and a willingness to learn!
